Toastmasters Club Meetings

The proceedings of a Toastmasters meeting is much the same as an ordinary meeting conducted in normal day to day business. There are though, different aspects that you would not see in an ordinary meeting. Segements such as Table Topics, which allows a member to improve on their impromptu repsonses, The Speech segment, which is where different members perform a speech to the rest of the members, and various other segments which promote learning in communication and leadership.

The meetings are conducted out in a fun and enjoyable environment to keep all members entertained. There are formal aspects of the meeting as well, these formal aspects are where business is carried out for the club, so that the club can be maintained and steered into the right direction for all members.

During each Toastmaster meeting some members are given a role to perform on the night. There are many different roles that can be performed by a member, such as the ‘um’ and ‘er’ counter, which is counting how many ‘ums’ and ‘ers’ are perfromed on the night by all members.
