Speechcraft

This is a quick introduction to public speaking.  Participants will learn how to organise and deliver speeches before an audience.  They will learn how to overcome nerves and make those “butterflies fly information.”  This is all achieved in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Each week of the course participants will take part in an impromptu speaking situation called Table Topics.  With help and guidance from experienced Toastmasters participants will gain confidence in thinking and speaking on their feet.

This course will take you out of yourcomfort zone and propelyou to be a better leader and public speaker. The Speechcraft course uses proven Toastmaster training methods to build your confidence and general speaking ability, so the next time you have to do that presentation you can do it with expert skill.

Youth Leadership

This course is ideal for Secondary School pupils who want to develop confidence in public speaking.  Students will learn how to put together speeches and how to evaluate the communication styles of others.  Experienced Toastmasters will guide them through the stages of preparing speeches and delivering them with polish.

At the conclusion of the course (usually 6 weeks) Students will have an oportunity to perform before their families and friends.    Contact Jill Standen (See contacts page) for further details.
